Hunger Prevention Coordinator

ICNA Relief’s Austin office is seeking a Hunger Prevention Coordinator. The selected candidate(s) will be responsible for establishing the Hunger Prevention Program.

Desired Start Date: Immediate

Key Responsibilities: Hunger Prevention

  • Work with local Food Banks and Food Donors with procuring, reporting food related transactions.
  • Organize and establish the following hunger prevention projects:
    • Weekly Food Distributions
    • Doorstep Deliveries
    • Ramadan Food Boxes
    • Qurbani/Udhiya
  • Coordinate volunteers schedule and record client information for future use.
  • Capture the distribution with good pictures, and collect testimonials from the volunteers, donors and recipients

Required Skills:

  1. Must possess a TX state valid driver’s license and good driving record, comfortable driving a cargo van.
  2. Honest, dedicated and have good communication skills
  3. Physically fit to carry heavy boxes
  4. Motivated to work as a team member
  5. Initiative to learn Salesforce to track and input data of clients served.

Time Commitment: Minimum of 16 hours/week with a flexible work schedule.

Compensation: To be determined based on experience.
