Join Reimagining Service
Texas Impact’s Reimagining Service team invites your faith community to participate in a 15-week process of congregational discovery and discernment. With the support of a trained facilitator, a team of 8-10 members of your congregation will think creatively about how to serve your wider community.
For most congregations, 2020 brought with it distinct challenges, many of which will linger even after COVID-19 is gone. This year also highlighted existing needs and inequities in our local communities—issues that predate COVID-19 that we are newly mobilized to tackle.
The Reimagining Service process asks faith communities to reconsider their resources—including “dormant” and shifting resources. Teams will consider how their congregation already brings its resources to bear to meet the needs of the wider community, and explore strategies to expand, realign, or transform existing ministries in light of challenges 2020 has highlighted. Teams will conclude their 15-week journey with recommendations for inviting their entire congregation into a collaborative framework.
